Giving Families / People in Need a Fresh Start

A community-driven project by Des Moines Elite Cleaning & Decoretti Mom

Every family deserves a clean, safe, livable home — but not everyone has the ability, energy, health, or support to maintain one.


That is why I created the Happy House Cleaning Project:
a heartfelt mission to help people in real need feel hope again through the power of a clean home.

This project started from love.


From seeing too many people struggle alone.
From knowing what it feels like to lose everything and still get back up.

 

 

🌟 What Is the Happy House Cleaning Project?

A monthly or as-needed volunteer-based deep-cleaning initiative for:

  • Single parents

  • Families with financial struggles

  • People dealing with illness, disability, or trauma

  • Elderly people with limited mobility

  • Hoarding situations where people feel overwhelmed

  • Anyone who needs help but cannot afford professional cleaning

This is not a basic clean.
This is a full transformation — space, energy, and hope.

🧽 What We Do

Each selected family receives:

✔ A Free Deep Clean (1–2 full days)

I personally clean the home with my deep-cleaning techniques until it is completely livable again.

✔ Organizing & Sorting Help

I help create structure so families can maintain the home after we leave.

✔ A Fresh Start

Often, this is the moment where people finally feel they can breathe again.

✔ A Gentle, Judgement-Free Environment

No shame. No judgment. No criticism.
Just love, understanding, and practical help.

🌱 Why I Do This

Because I know what it feels like to start from zero.
Because I understand chaos, trauma, survival, and rebuilding life from nothing.
Because cleaning is not just my job — it is my gift, my passion, my purpose.
And sometimes a clean home gives people the strength to change their whole life.

We accept gently used:

  • Toys

  • Children’s clothing

  • Shoes

  • Kitchenware

  • Small furniture

  • Home décor

  • School supplies

  • Linens & blankets

These items go directly to the families we help.
